New York, NY – Foodspace is excited to share that Bold TV interviewed the company’s CEO, Ayo Oshinaike, on Friday August 2, 2019. On Bold’s segment, Oshinaike shared the inspiration that led him to found Foodspace; this origin story took place in his college days when he was struggling to cook healthy meals.
Foodspace is a recipe management app that allows users to save and shop recipes and ingredients from any food blog. The app also provides users an opportunity to have needed ingredients delivered to them with Foodspace’s delivery through Instacart. Foodspace’s website also highlights Recipe Bloggers by providing users with an Inspiration Engine that refreshes weekly and can be customized by dietary preference. Pinterest users are even able to save their pinned boards to their Foodspace account to streamline the food shopping and cooking process.
When asked where he wants to take Foodspace next, Oshinaike mentioned focusing on inventory management from the consumer side; helping users keep track of what ingredients they have at home and providing them with recipes to utilize those ingredients and reduce food waste. To keep up with Foodspace’s theme of automation, the company will minimize the lift for users by linking to grocery retailer loyalty cards and importing expiration dates.
Along with their Instacart integration, Foodspace is currently working with Stop and Shop, Price Shopper, and Whole Foods. The company will continue exploring partnerships with other grocery chains and expanding their offerings.
